My Completed Projects

I created this quilt as part of the CMQG Robert Kaufman KONA Solid Charm Pack Challenge.  To me summer represents a break in the patterns that rule the rest of the year.  The colors in and of themselves were "Summery" in my opinion.

I will be donating this quilt to Bama Bound Quilts who is distributing the quilts to victims of April Tornadoes.  If anyone knows of an organization giving out quilts in Joplin, I'll donate one or two there as well.

So, Here it is, "Broken Patterns of Summer" (More Pics on Original Post HERE)

Columbus Modern Quilt Guild Mug Rug Swap...  March 10,2011
I created this Mug Rug for Erin.  She is Irish, so I used a Broken Irish Chain pattern.  She is happily married, and the Red square in the middle is from a fabric that she bought while she was on her honeymoon!!  How many people do YOU know who went to a Quilt Shop on their Honeymoon?  I wanted to try something new on this, so I added a "Flanged Binding" on the back.  I like the look and I may do more in the Future.

Quilt For Kids - Pink Pixies and Fairies - February 21, 2011
This is a quilt kit that I received from Ouilt For Kids, an organization that donates quilts to kids who are either in the hospital battling a nasty disease, or kids who have been removed from their birth home due to abuse.  If you'd like to receive a kit from them, or if you'd like to do a quilt and send it to them, visit their website.

First attempt at a "Wrap Around" binding...  Could be better, but
I'm happy with it.
